Improving local fish and wildlife habitat
A voluntary opportunity to help improve local native fish and wildlife habitat
Salem Electric offers a program to improve local native fish and wildlife habitat. The Habitat Improvement Program (HIP) allows Salem Electric members to make automatic monthly contributions through their Salem Electric bill or make a one-time donation. Pledges can be canceled at any time.
Member contributions support efforts to improve local fish and wildlife habitat, including planting trees, adding vegetation to stream banks, river clean-up and watershed education and outreach.
Contributions will be forwarded to the Mid-Willamette Watershed Alliance, a 501c3 organization. Donations collected in Polk County will be assigned to habitat improvements in the Glenn-Gibson Creek Watershed and donations from Marion County will fund Claggett Creek projects.
